Well let me just say that twice a week now, I do some sort of craft project with my kids, since I am stuck in the house and all, and it is easier to occupy them when they have some hands-on-project that they complete themselves.
Well our first craft project for the week was spiders for halloween. Which after it was all said and done they looked more like Mardi Gras spiders with toupees, but the kids had fun lol. It was very inexpensive to do.....

I had one empty egg carton, which I cut out individual egg holders to make the body of the spider. I used black pipe cleaner, which I poked eight holes on each side and then cut the pipe cleaners to fit. I then had googly eyes, some glue, glitter, finger paints, and colorful feathers. The kids painted and glittered them. Oh and that was the best part the purple pieces of glitter that were stuck to not only the spiders but everything else within about 2 feet! After they dried a bit the kids added feathers (cut up) for their hair and then the googly eyes! I added the legs and there you have it, oh so scary halloween spiders that in my mind are a little on the flaming side lol! But they love them lol!
So today we made Trees! Yes trees, I mean give me a freaking break it is Fall and I don't care what anyone says it is the best season all year. So we took brown paint and painted their palms and arm, pressed them on construction paper to make the trunk and branches. Then we gave them each their paints and let their fingers turn into brushes as they fingerpainted leaves and buttons and rainbows, foxes and squirrels. They had a blast, I didn't have to do to much supervision or "doing it for them" so they got to do it all by themselves except when they needed "mommy's expertise on painting foxes and squirrels" lol but I was more than happy to oblige because hey how long has it actually been since you got to finger paint, and finger paint like a 3 year old lol! We had fun and they loved their bushy little trees.

Here they are and if your a mommy to a toddler or younger child I bet you can spot the squirrel and the fox lol! Jayden's is on the left and Jaylain's is on the right! Don't you just love them???
So our next project is going to be Spoon Witches and I will update about how that one actually works out!
So this was our crafty project for today and Friday! Love it don't you??
Well that is it for our Craft aspect of the week!!
